The Cairns Art Society has an annual exhibition, permitting the local artists to show off their brilliant tropical art work.

Cairns Art Society
Was formed in 1931 under the guidance of the first President, Captain W. P. Fish. The society promotes an interest in local art with many local artists. Art workshops and exhibitions are well supported throughout the year. The new annual ArtEscape Expo is becoming increasingly popular with excellent national tutors. Held at The Tanks every July for a whole week. This is not to be missed.
